I took a week off from training
This past week I took a week off from training except for teaching classes at Supreme Ultimate Fitness which does involve some effort. The reason is that I felt I was over-training and my body was always sore and aching. Right now I feel great. Plus I am moving this week and had to travel and had a death in the family (my 100 yr old grandfather) so was under a ton of stress. I got a killer massage and ate almost perfect and feel a ton better.
Exercise actually stresses out the body and if you are not eating an sleeping right can have a negative effect on the immune system. So last week i decided to rest and start a serous detox and cleanse and you can read about it on Supreme Ultimate Nutrition.
I recommend that you take a full week off from training every 12 weeks of high intensity training to allow a full recovery process to take place for the mind and body. It will pay off in the long run and when you come back you will actually be stronger and better.

That is exactly how I feel this week..took a week off after about 3.5 months of non stop mass plan, and at first I felt like can’t wait 2 get 2 the gym..then all my tiredness (heavily felt lately) started to fade away, now (Thursday) I feel fresh and energized..will definately have AWESOME training sessions, and much bettter & effective ones, next week & forth!! Enjoy yr week off also, may u NEVER have 2 experience sad events (sorry 2 hear about yr beloved grandfather)..nothing but true & lasting HAPPINESS, PROSPERITY, GOOD HEALTH & PLENTY OF COOL FITNESS

I agree about needing a lot sleep. If I don’t get enough rest with all of my workouts, I’m am exhausted. Plus, most of my hard work in the gym doesn’t pay off because my body never recovers.

You should try including T’ai Chi Chih or another moving meditation in your program
